Ms. Gracie. Nelson Field House- Final

 When a sporting event is going on, people are almost always there for the games. People usually don't think or wonder how the sporting event is put into place, and run so fluidly, with out any hiccups.

    The workers at Nelson Field house(figure 1) put everything together for us Athletes to compete for our University and not have to worry about a thing. One of the workers, Ms. Gracie, brown eye, brown hair, 5'6, played field hockey, she is the athletic department secretary there, and helps with a lot of behind the scene work.

    At Nelson, she has a smaller corner office, filled with mailboxes for all the coaches, bags full of paper shredding, causing the room to have a constant smell of paper. Her tight quarter office is also directly behind the University's swimming pool. The odor from the pools chlorine fills the air with chemicals and sneaks into her office. The noise from the white water splashing from the pool, fills your ear drums while the swim team is practicing.

    Ms. Gracie's job mostly consist of "helping out other coaches with the little errands they need, and if any faculty needs assistance." As she sits at her desk waiting for something to come across her desk, all the coaches are stopping by her office with big smile across their face and a bright mood just to pick up their mail or just to say hello.

    Ms. Gracie was sitting down at her plain gray work desk on her black desktop dell computer. Multiple coaches were stopping in and out asking for small favors. " Hey Gracie would you mind grabbing me the copy's from the copier while I am at practice." She completed the task with out hesitation and with the a smile that ear to ear.

    As she sat in her chlorine filled air, she would work on teams plans for away trips as well. Calling other teams to see what their schedule was like for game day as well.

    People watch sporting events all the time not knowing what time and work goes behind it. Ms. Gracie might not get all the publicity, but she definitely deserves more respect than she gets
